Nov 16, 2004 Every so often, an intern comes along who rises above all the others. One who really makes your life easier and your world a little brighter. There are internship programs that offer such high-quality experiences that students- and colleges-sing their praises. These programs offer students a true taste of life in their chosen fields of study and send them back to school rejuvenated.

Not only does it allow us to give back to the educational institutions that prepared us, but it also gives us a sneak peek at the new, up and coming talent in the industry in a hands-on working environment."

There were numerous terrific nominations this year for the Indiana Intern Award. Among the winners was Narrow Gate Media's Steve Brand, who received Honorable Mention for all his hard-work, dedication and accomplishments as an intern at Narrow Gate Media this summer.

Steve is currently a student at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, majoring in Computer Graphics Technology. He will graduate in June of 2005 and currently holds a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.55 on a 4.O scale.

"Thank you for the opportunity this summer, it helped me out tremendously," said Steve Brand. "I definitely feel like I'd rather be in the office, I felt like I got more done there than all of the time I spend here in the classroom."
